GA4 Setup, Google Tag Manager and Meta Pixel Tracking
CreateWeb sets up GA4, Google Tag Manager, Consent Mode V2 and Meta Pixel so you see exactly where your enquiries and sales come from – without wrong or duplicated data.
We set up tracking from scratch or audit your existing setup: events, purchases, key events, the Google Ads connection and a GDPR-compliant cookie banner. We work with WordPress, WooCommerce, Shopify and other platforms.

Why you need a properly configured GA4
Google Analytics 4 shows what visitors do on your site, but only if it is set up correctly – otherwise the reports are incomplete or wrong.
GA4 replaced Universal Analytics, which stopped collecting data on 1 July 2023. GA4 works with events instead of page views, so a default installation is not enough. Without the right setup you cannot see which campaigns bring sales, reports show duplicated visits or purchases are not tracked at all.
What our Google tools setup includes
The service includes GA4, Google Tag Manager, Consent Mode V2 and Meta Pixel, connected to each other.

- Enhanced measurement and internal traffic filters.
- Key events: forms, calls, purchases.
- Links to Google Ads and Google Search Console.
Google Tag Manager
- GTM container installed on your site.
- Tags, triggers and variables for every event.
- Testing in Preview mode before publishing.
Consent Mode V2 and GDPR
- A GDPR-compliant cookie banner.
- Consent Mode V2 connected to GTM and GA4.
- Data for Google Ads while staying compliant.
Meta Pixel
- Meta Pixel for Facebook and Instagram ads.
- Events: product view, add to cart, purchase.
- Data matched against GA4.
E-commerce tracking for online stores
For online stores we set up full e-commerce tracking – from product view to completed purchase.
We track Google's recommended events – view_item, add_to_cart, begin_checkout and purchase – with the order value. Your reports then show which products sell, where customers abandon the cart and how much revenue each Google Ads or Meta campaign brings. We make sure every purchase is counted only once.
Auditing and fixing an existing GA4
If you already have GA4 but the data does not look right, we audit and fix the setup.
The most common problems are a tag loaded twice, missing purchases, spam traffic and events without parameters. We check the GA4 property, the GTM container and the consent settings and give you a list of what was fixed. Learn more in our complete guide to Google tools.
Our setup process
Setup follows five steps – from the measurement plan to data verification.
- Plan: which actions on your site matter to your business.
- Access: we get permissions for GA4, GTM and the site.
- Setup: tags, events, key events and consent.
- Testing: debug mode and real visits.
- Handover: a short walkthrough of the reports.
How long the setup takes
Setup usually takes from a few hours to a few days, depending on the site.
A company website with a contact form is fastest. An online store with e-commerce tracking, Consent Mode and Meta Pixel needs more testing. You get an exact timeline and price after a first look at your site and accounts.

Frequently asked questions about GA4 setup
In short: setup is mostly one-off, takes hours to days and can be extended later.
Is GA4 setup a one-off job?
Mostly yes, but it needs periodic checks. Platforms and regulations change, so we also offer support after setup.
Is Google Analytics 4 free?
Yes, GA4 and Google Tag Manager are free. You only pay for the setup and support.
Do I need Google Tag Manager?
We recommend it. All tags are managed in one place without changes to your site's code.
What is Consent Mode V2 and is it required?
It lets Google receive data according to the visitor's consent. You need it if you advertise on Google Ads and have visitors from the EU.
